When just an Environmental Policy is not enough – Improving Environmental Management through the Supply Chain

16th August 2012

Mabbett, in partnership with NQA, are running a free seminar entitled: When just an Environmental Policy is not enough – Improving Environmental Management through the Supply Chain.

This business-focused seminar is being held at the Ramada, Shaws Bridge, Belfast on Thursday 4th October 2012. Registration will open at 08:30 and there will be tea/coffee and breakfast refreshments available on arrival. The event will commence at 09:30 and close at 11:00.

This is an event for suppliers with an Environmental Management System (EMS), or business customers who are finding themselves responding to these Supply Chain requests and the seminar will provide an opportunity for businesses to learn about how an EMS may assist them to retain and win new business in the public and private sectors.

This free seminar is intended to provide delegates with an introduction to environmental requirements through the supply chain, including the role of EMS, whether it be a pre-requisite requirement for your business within your own supply chain or indeed if you are encouraging your suppliers to demonstrate their environmental performance through an EMS.

This event will include a presentation and question and answer session with senior environmental consultant and Management Systems expert, Geraldine Boylan of Mabbett, and NQA, a leading assessment, verification and certification body who will also highlight in their presentation revisions to the EMS Standard, ISO14001.

This seminar is designed to provide informative and practical advice from a range of different perspectives, and speakers will also include: a public sector organisation outlining their current and future position on EMS; Invest NI, and Belfast City Council highlighting the potential support they can provide to companies seeking to improve their sustainability through development of an EMS, and case study examples from Mabbett and NQA clients.
