Occupied Building Risk Assessment (OBRA)
Do you operate a COMAH site? Processing or storing hazardous materials poses a potential threat of fire, explosion or toxic gas to people located in buildings on site.
Under the COMAH Regulations, operators must demonstrate that the risk to employees in offices/workplaces on site are as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP).
Mabbett can offer Occupied Building Risk Assessment (OBRA) to inform the location and design requirements of occupied buildings on your site.
We carry out OBRAs in accordance with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved Chemical Industries Association (CIA) ‘Guidance for the Location and Design of Occupied Buildings on Chemical Manufacturing Sites’.
Depending on the complexity of your site, our experts will work with you to determine the most suitable approach for your specific needs to include a hazard-based, simple risk-based or exceedance curve approach.
