This two-day Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) certified course provides you with clear guidance on best practice on the response to the climate crisis. This course will equip individuals with a strategic and operational overview of environmental sustainability that can be applied to your relevant industry and work area.

This course is designed for anyone needing to understand Net Zero Carbon at an intermediate to advanced level including supervisors and managers. If you are responsible for assessing the carbon impact of your organisation this course will provide you with the knowledge and techniques to establish a greenhouse gas inventory, net zero strategy and develop a decarbonisation plan for your organisation.

  • Developing a decarbonisation plan;
  • Communicating net zero actions and strategies.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course delegates will:

  • Understand the drivers and mechanisms of Net Zero Carbon and it’s position in the Climate Change context;
  • Understand the different carbon accounting standards, and what applies to you;
  • Identify the differences between Net Zero and Carbon Neutral, and how to calculate SBTs;
  • How to produce a Net Zero or Science Based Target strategy with short, medium and long term activities;
  • How to incorporate Net Zero into your reporting frameworks and promote your progress.
