Government guidance published – working safely during COVID-19

12th May 2020

The U.K government have provided guidance to help employers, employees and the self-employed work safely during the coronavirus pandemic.

The guidance advises:

  • Employers must carry out an assessment of the risks posed by COVID-19 before restarting operations.
  • Employers who have continued to operate throughout the recent period of lockdown, they must use the current guidance to identify further improvements.
  • Employers should share the results of the risk assessment with their workforce, and consider publishing results online. Employers with more than 50 workers should share results online.
