Dragons Den and so much more…

Mabbett puts significant investment into its staff through fostering a progressive and collaborative environment.
One of the ways Mabbett does this is through running two (2) Staff Planning & Training (SP&T) Days a year to give staff space and focused time to give feedback, generate ideas and discuss future activities. These SP&T Days are highly motivational and help assist Mabbett to strategically plan for the future.
At last week’s SP&T Day IV, Mabbett facilitated an interactive Dragons Den where teams pitched ideas, and we were delighted to have Mrs Fiona Conway from the University of Strathclyde Business School as one of the judges.
Our link with the University of Strathclyde continues to grow – not only did we flourish out of Strathclyde (The Mabbett management team were the ‘Successful Alumini’ highlighted in the Spring/Summer 2013 publication Engineering Insight – click here to view the article), but several of our staff are also University of Strathclyde Alumni. Managing Director, Derek J. McNab, is also proud to be a Visiting Professor in the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering.
Mabbett are delighted to hear the recent news that Strathclyde is THE (Times Higher Education) UK Entrepreneurial University of the Year 2013/14. An award well deserved! Congratulations and we look forward to working together with the University of Strathclyde in the future!
