3rd Annual JMC Cup Netball Tournament

29th March 2019 - Written by Jill Cottrell

It’s already Friday and we Mabbetteers are hoping for less sore muscles than last weekend – last Saturday (23 March 2019), Mabbett entered two teams into the 3rd Annual JMC Cup Netball Tournament at Williamwood High School to help raise funds for Revive MS Support, a charity close to our hearts.

Being a competitive bunch, both Mabbett teams (the Mabbett Mavericks and the Mabbett Masters) made the semi-finals and played against each other in a nail-biting match.  Ultimately, the Mavericks emerged victorious and went on to come second overall in the tournament.

Sponsored by Tangible Stationery Company Ltd, this year’s event was the most successful in its 3 year history, raising over £2200 for Revive MS Support, a charity that provides vital therapy, advice and support to people affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in the heart of communities across the West of Scotland.

In addition to the exciting matches, attendees also enjoyed a bake sale, tuck shop, raffle and tombola, with sand art, face-painting and football available for younger supporters.
