IEMA Certified Carbon Management Course (1 day)

Overview

This course will enable you to report under schemes such as Mandatory Greenhouse Reporting, as well as enabling delegates to calculate organisational or product carbon footprints for an organisation. This course will equip you with the knowledge to develop and manage carbon reporting systems and be able to quantify your organisation’s carbon emissions. It will enable you to identify opportunities to reduce carbon in your organisation and encourage you to consider what you will need to do to ensure the opportunities are cost effective. You will be able to effectively communicate the benefits of carbon management.

This course is delivered by GEP Environmental Ltd, a Mabbett company.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course delegates will:
1. Understand the drivers and mechanisms of Climate Change and the sources of Greenhouse Gases;
2. Identify, monitor and measure sources of carbon within an organisation;
3. Understand how to develop and manage a carbon reporting system;
4. Have practiced undertaking a carbon footprint;
5. Identify the drivers and benefits of implementing carbon management measures;
6. Identify examples of how to manage and reduce carbon emissions in an organisation.

This course is aimed at any personnel that need to further their knowledge in energy and carbon management. Previous delegates include including Senior Management, Energy Managers, Facilities Managers, Environment Managers, Green Champions and other employees directly involved with energy and carbon management.
