Homeworking, whether as a permanent arrangement or as part of temporary or flexible working conditions has increased significantly in recent times and for many people, working at home in the longer term may become the new normal. A homeworker’s health and safety remain the responsibility of their employer and although the hazards from working at home might appear low, there are some important risk management factors that need to be assessed and controlled as part of an employer’s commitment to their employee.
