Designed to improve delegates’ understanding of DSEAR legislation, its application within industry and associated compliance requirements.
The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) 2002 regulations arise from the implementation of the safety provisions of the Chemical Agents Directive and the Explosives Atmospheres Directive (ATEX 99/92/EC). They set specific requirements for identifying hazardous substances and areas, identifying the risks associated with them, and implementing controls including the selection of equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
DSEAR is a set of regulations concerned with the protection against risks from fire, explosion and similar events arising from dangerous substances used or present in the workplace.
