Opportunity for an Ecologist /Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) to join a growing team to support technical excellence and business growth. Essential experience for this role includes: completing ecology and habitat surveys in Scotland, handling and management of ecological survey data, addressing of ecological planning requirements (Habitat Management Plans, Monitoring Plans or CEMPs) and experience working as an ECoW on construction sites.
This role will include consulting and delivery, as well as promotion and education of clients / prospects on the ISO 27001 standard. In particular, how this complements and integrates with other standards (such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, ISO 22301). Support will be provided, but the successful candidate will be expected to take a lead in this technical area.
The Principal Ecologist will have responsibility for team development, team performance and coaching / supervision of ecology staff. The selected candidate will hold a BSc or MSc in Ecology or related discipline and Membership of a relevant professional body such as CIEEM.
Recruiting now for a Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our growing team in our Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland offices to support with technical project delivery to include: food and drink sustainability strategies; farm management and farm sustainability consulting; carbon footprinting, carbon neutrality & net-zero; climate change impact modelling; life cycle assessment; circular economy consulting; resource and energy efficiency; environmental auditing and sustainability reporting.
The successful candidate will have completed BOHS W501 and W503 modules and hold experience in occupational hygiene practice, e.g. air monitoring for hazardous substances, conducting occupational noise assessments, carrying out thorough examinations and tests of local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systems.
The successful candidate will coordinate the delivery of environmental permitting projects across the UK, and will have experience in one or more of the following preferably in a consultancy role; environmental permit applications and variations, environmental impact assessment using appropriate tools e.g. D1 Calculations, H1 Software Tool, SCAIL, ADMS and BAT.
The successful candidate will posses an Honours or Masters Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Civil or Environmental Engineering, the physical sciences, or similar with experience in a consultancy role in environmental permitting, air quality, water and wastewater management, hydrology and/or environmental noise assessments.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant Honours or Masters Degree; knowledge of UK air quality policy and legislation and, experience in air quality assessments, environmental permitting, environmental planning and/or dispersion modelling software.
The successful candidate will hold a Honours or Masters Degree in Hydrology, Engineering or similar with experience in Flood Risk Assessment, Flow Modelling, Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) to include design and/or guidance in relation to planning, EIA, construction or engineering projects.
